Happy New Year - Wishing you Health and Happiness
Wishing all my Class Fitness clients a Very Happy New Year.
May you have many happy memories from 2024 and plenty of things to look forward to in 2025.
As always my classes will run throughout the year supporting your health and fitness goals and providing opportunities to have lots of fun and make new friendships.
It's amazing to think that many of you attending classes today have been with me since I started teaching in earnest with Jane Mann as 'Rosemary Conley', Chester in January 2013... that's 12 years ago! No wonder when we bring out some of the old aerobic and FitSteps routines it feels like the music has been sped up!
It makes me so very happy to know that we have such loyalty in our customers and I am so very grateful for your continued support of classes. Very many thanks and here's to the next 12 months and hopefully 12 years!

New Year Classes - Return Dates
After a lovely break spending time with my family I look forward to welcoming you back to classes soon. All the usual weekly classes will return week commencing 6th Jan.
You can now get booked into all the classes via the gymcatch app or online at:
Priority booking of pilates classes has now ended so all sessions are available to book by anyone. Do be sure to get booked in therefore if you haven't already as January always sees new folks looking for classes and I expect spaces to be at a premium.

New Class Alert
In addition to the above timetable I am also having a 6 week trial period taking over an existing class on a Monday morning which many of you may be interested in joining:
It will be a 45 min session - 9.30-10.15am @ Upton United Reformed Church, Upton
The class was originally set up for Breast Cancer survivors, providing a session which promotes range of movement exercises and lymphatic drainage using low level dance/movement and breathwork sections.
Having many of the original members still in attendance we aim to recreate some of the familiar dance routines, known and loved, along with bringing in a couple of new ones.
This is specifically designed to be low intensity and a supportive class with chair based options available throughout. So not only is it suitable for clients who have recently undergone breast surgery but for others returning to exercise post illness/surgery or who need a lower level exercise class.
Refreshments and social time is also encouraged after the session so please do allow another 30-45mins afterwards if you should like to join in.
This class does not yet feature on gymcatch for booking but please do make direct contact with me should you wish to enquire about your suitability for joining the group,costs and how to get booked in.
Have you tried all our classes?
Seeing so many of our fabulous Christmas party goers on the dancefloor this year makes me think that so many more of you would love our FitSteps sessions!
They are dance fitness classes based on the 'Strictly' style latin and ballroom dances.
Taught like a Zumba style class ( so no partners required) you get to channel your own Shirley Ballas in a variety of routines taught at varying levels of intensity.
If you love 'strictly' and exercising to music you'll love FitSteps.
Choose from the class we call our Wednesday afternoon tonic - 1.30-2.30pm at All Saints Church Hall or come to our post work de-stressor 6.30-7.30pm Thursdays at Upton Community Hall, Demage Lane.
And for those of you who have been asking about sessions which use weights - did you know that Burn 'n' Firm and Body Blast classes always include a resistance training element to them either using weights, resistance bands, gliders or own body weight exercises.
Burn 'n' Firm is on a Tuesday morning at 9.30am (St Columbas Church) and is a predominantly cardio based workout using aerobics as the main energiser for 30-40 mins followed by resistance training for 15-20mins.
Body Blast combines High Intensity Interval Training with weight training for a super efficient, whole body workout with lasting effects post class. This is held at Upton URC at 6.15pm Wednesdays

Christmas Fundraising
Thank you so much to all who attended classes in the lead up to Xmas and generously gave monies to our annual fundraising campaign in lieu of sending cards to one another.
This year we raised £300 which has been successfully donated to The Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Thank you also to those of you who contributed festive fare to our Xmas get togethers over the last week of term and for the many kind Xmas gifts presented to me. Very much appreciated!
A few hints and wrinkles about using Gymcatch
Were you aware that as well as booking your classes, Gymcatch gives you full access to cancelling them too? All you have to do is LOG into your account to find your bookings. Access the booking you can no longer make and a CANCEL option will be presented to you. Do this in no less than 12 hours of the class start time and your account is automatically refunded with a class pass to use on another booking. Simples! Even if you have missed the 12 hour cut off period for cancelling to get a refund it would be most appreciated if you could Cancel your session if you cannot attend as this will then automatically notify anyone who is sitting on the waiting list wishing to book in.
When buying passes to use for block bookings - do double check that you are buying the one which covers your chosen style of class. Unfortunately pilates sessions are slightly more expensive therefore require the specific PILATES passes rather than the ones sold to cover Burn n Firm, Fitsteps and BodyBlast.
Pilates costs £8 per class or £7.60 if bought as a 5 class pass @ £38 (valid for 4 months) or £7.50 if bought as a 10 class pass @ £75 (valid for 6 months)
Burn n Firm/Fitsteps/Body bast costs £7 per class or £6.60 if bought as a 5- class pass @ £33 (valid for 4 months) or £6.50 if bought as a 10-class pass @ £65 (valid for 6 months)

1:1 Appointments
These too will be re-commencing week commencing Jan 6th and will once again be held at my home based studio in Christleton.
I have limited availability on Monday and Thursday afternoons available so please do get in touch should this be something that you are thinking would be beneficial.
Clients often find these useful to ascertain their suitability to be joining a class before committing to a block booking, working on specific areas of fitness following a period of ill health/injury or perhaps having the accountability of a weekly goal monitoring session.

Social Gatherings
As regular attendees know - Class Fitness is far more than Fitness classes. We are a community who have common interests and who like to socialise together.
So with the 2025 diary currently looking blank - let's start sharing some ideas in classes.
